Distribution:  In our region, this species occurs throughout much of Texas, and in southern Arizona. In addition there is a small isolated population in southwestern New Mexico.

Legal Status:  Gastrophryne olivacea is listed as an Endangered Species in the state of New Mexico. This species is not protected in either Texas or Arizona.
