Distribution:  In our region, this species occurs throughout most of Texas, in eastern and southern New Mexico, and in the extreme southeastern corner of Arizona.

Legal Status:  In our region, the State of Texas lists Phrynosoma cornutum as a Threatened Species. It is also the State Reptile of Texas.
