The Southwestern Center for Herpetological Research (SWCHR) is pleased to announce that Will Wells' photograph of a Northern Green Ratsnake (Senticolis triaspis intermedia) taken in Pima County, Arizona has been selected as our Photo of the Month for December, 2009. Our congratulations to Will for having the winning photo for the month of September.
This is Will's sixth photo to achieve Photo of the Month status in 2009. Having just one of his images selected during the year as a Photo of the Month earns him a cash award of $25.00 and automatically qualifies him as a nominee in the competition for our 2009 Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography which will be selected and awarded in February of 2010. The Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography consist of a larger cash award and a plaque mounted certificate.
