The Southwestern Center for Herpetological Research (SWCHR) is pleased to announce that Matt Hollanders' photograph of a Small-mouthed Salamander (Ambystoma texanum) taken in Austin County, Texas has been selected as our Photo of the Month for February, 2010. Our congratulations to Matt for having the winning photo for the month of February.
Having one of his images selected during the year as a Photo of the Month earns him a cash award of $25.00 and automatically qualifies him as a nominee in the competition for our 2010 Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography which will be selected and awarded in February of 2011. The Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography consist of a larger cash award and a plaque mounted certificate.
