The Southwestern Center for Herpetological Research (SWCHR) is pleased to announce that Scott Wahlberg's photograph of a calling male Mexican Burrowing Toad (Rhinophrynus dorsalis) taken after a heavy rain in Starr County, Texas has been selected as our Photo of the Month for July, 2010. Our congratulations to Scott for having the winning photo for the month of July.
Having one of his images selected during the year as a Photo of the Month earns Scott a cash award of $25.00 and automatically qualifies him as a nominee in the competition for our 2010 Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography which will be selected and awarded in February of 2011. The Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography consist of a larger cash award and a plaque mounted certificate.
