The Southwestern Center for Herpetological Research (SWCHR) is pleased to announce that Alice Abela's photograph of an aberrantly patterned Northern Mohave Rattlesnake (Crotalus scutulatus scutulatus) taken in Cochise County, Arizona has been selected as our Photo of the Month for November, 2009. Having one of her images selected this year as a Photo of the Month earns Alice a cash award of $25.00 and automatically qualifies her as a nominee in the competition for our 2009 Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography which will be selected and awarded in February of 2010. The Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography consist of a larger cash award and a plaque mounted certificate.
