The Southwestern Center for Herpetological Research (SWCHR) is pleased to announce that Will Wells' photograph of a Southwestern Earless Lizard (Cophosaurus texanus scitulus) taken in the Wickenburg Mountains of Yavapai County, Arizona has been selected by our members as our Photo of the Month for December, 2011. Our congratulations to Will for having his seventh winning Photo of the Month for 2011.
Having just one of his images selected during the year as a Photo of the Month earns Will a cash award of $25.00 and automatically qualifies him as a nominee in the competition for our 2011 Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography which will be selected and awarded in February of 2012. The Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography consist of a larger cash award, and a plaque mounted certificate.
