James  Van  Dyke  photographed  this  beautiful   Northern  Speckled  Racer  (Drymobius  margaritiferus
margaritiferus) in Cameron County, Texas.  This beautiful Mexican species only enters the United States in
the extreme southern portion of the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas and is listed as a Threatened Species
