This attractive Mexican Treefrog (Smilisca baudinii) was photographed by Gary Nafis in Cameron County, Texas. This species is widespread in eastern Mexico, but it only enters the United States in the southern tip of Texas. It is protected as a Threatened Species by the State of Texas. Photo by Gary Nafis
