PHOTO OF THE MONTH - INDEX


Each month the Southwestern Center for Herpetological Research selects the best photographic image submitted during the month to be featured as the Photo of the Month and the photographer receives a cash award. Images are evaluated based upon originality, composition, color, technical excellence, and overall impact on the viewer.

Each photographer who has an image selected as a Photo of the Month during the calendar year is automatically placed into the competition for our annual Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography which is presented in February of each year for the prior year. The Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography consist of a cash award and a plaque mounted certificate.
