DISTRIBUTION: In our region, Crotalus ruber occurs in southern California in southern Los Angeles County, Orange County, western Riverside County, San Diego County and extreme western Imperial County.

LEGAL STATUS: Crotalus ruber is protected as a California Species of Special Concern.
