DISTRIBUTION: In our region, Hydromantes platycephalus occurs in California in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in El Dorado, Lake, Mariposa, Sierra and Placer Counties.
LEGAL STATUS: All species of Hydromantes are protected in California.
