NON-VENOMOUS
SIZE: Max length 33”, average adult length 15” – 25”, newborn length 7.5” – 9”
DIET: Constrictor, feeds mainly on small mammals, birds, lizards and salamanders
REPRODUCTION: Viviparous, gives live birth to litter of 1-5 young per year. Females reproduce on average once every four years.
DISTRIBUTION: In our region, Charina bottae occurs in central and northern California, northern Nevada and northern and central Utah.
