DISTRIBUTION: In our region, Crotalus w. willardi occurs only in the Santa Rita, Huachuca, Patagonia and Whetstone Mountains as well as in the Canelo Hills, all located in the southeastern corner of Arizona.

LEGAL STATUS: Crotalus w. willardi is protected as a Threatened Species in Arizona and is Arizona’s official state reptile.

MEANING OF SCIENTIFIC NAME: Crotalus willardi willardi (Meek 1905)
