DISTRIBUTION: In our region, Dicamptodon tenebrosus occurs in California from Mendocino County north along the coast to the Oregon Border and east into the Coast Mountain Ranges.

Genus: Dicamptodon, Greek – di = two + kamptos = curved, bent + odon = teeth — ref. to doubly curved teeth
