DISTRIBUTION: In our region, Gambelia sila occurs only in California in the San Juaquin Valley and neighboring valleys and foothills.
LEGAL STATUS: Gambelia sila is fully protected as an Endangered Species listed under both the U. S. Endangered Species Act (ESA) and the California Endangered Species Act (CESA).
