DISTRIBUTION: In our region, Pituophis c. annectens occurs on the southern California coast, including Santa Catalina Island, from Santa Barbara County to the Mexican border, and inland into the Peninsular and Transverse Mountain ranges. It is not found in the Mojave or Colorado Desert regions.
