DISTRIBUTION: In our region, Storeria d. texana occurs throughout the eastern half of the state of Texas, except for a very narrow strip of brackish coastal marshland extending from Port Lavaca, Texas to the Louisiana border. In this area it is replaced by the Marsh Brown Snake (Storeria dekayi limnetes).
